National Association of the Deaf opened their doors to the public, inviting everyone to take a behind the scenes peek at NAD headquarters located in Silver Spring, Maryland. Touring the office, we learned more about the organization’s mission and endless campaign of addressing various issues affecting the deaf community across the country. After drooling over all the impressive De’Via and Deaf art displayed throughout the office, we mingled with representatives from several state associations as well as various leaders that impact change within the deaf community everyday! We had the opportunity to engage in very meaningful conversations with a variety of people in which we hope will lead to some pretty exciting projects and potential collaborations in the near future! It was truly inspiring to see the spirit captured in the historical photographs displayed depicting NAD’s rich history. Of course we took the opportunity to make our unique mark by taking part in the interactive photobooth!
