The never-ending rain couldn’t stop our koda families from putting on their roller skates and having a blast with us this past weekend during our play event in Virginia! Families from DMV area gathered at the Skate-n-Fun Zone in Manassas to meet up with KODAheart representatives and of course to have a great time at our community event.
The Skate-n-Fun Zone proved to be a great location for kids and adults of any age, with several different activities to choose from! Families could rent skates and show off their dancing skills in the rink, there were even rounds of limbo throughout the day to jump into. Those who needed a break from skating could try their skills at the arcade and win tickets for prizes. There was even a indoor playplace for the younger children to climb around in! The true battles went down in the laser tag arena where teams competed for the win!
Families from across the DMV came out for some good old-fashioned family fun, and also learned more about the various resources they could find through KODAheart. We had a great time chatting with everyone, we had some great conversations about various koda family topics while the kids skated to the music, played laser tag, and won a ton of tickets in the arcade!
At the end of the day, a group of kodas went head-to-head in the laser tag area, pitting members of the KODAheart team against koda siblings in an epic battle. When the smoke cleared, Chad Maldonado, also known as “Ace,” took home the title of “Laser Tag Champion.” Thank you to all the families that attended the event! KODAheart had a blast and can’t wait to go back to Virginia again!
