10 Gift Ideas for the Holiday Season Vol. 7

The holiday season could feel different again this year, many friends and family may be unable to travel or visit due to the ongoing pandemic. If you do have the means and gift-giving is something you enjoy- take a look at this list of small businesses from within the deaf community to purchase items for your loved ones. 1. Elevenbee

Give the gift of ASL! From holographic stickers to digital prints, Elevenbee has several customizable ASL images and phrases! Choose a personalized name sign or wall print, that you can print and put in a frame for an instant gift!

2. ARC.doodles 

Amanda Rose is a coda artist who has turned her hobby into a side hustle! Take a peek at her Instagram account to see how she creates these intricate, yet simple images. You should pay attention to her custom-made doodles- they’d make a fantastic personalized gift for any loved one!

What started off as a passion for blending and brewing tea has become an exciting business adventure! 4. Clean School Paper 

This shop’s name is an ASL “hand twister”! After you attempt to sign all three words in succession, take a look at their awesome products!  These items feature bright depictions of ASL signs for veggies and fruit, including spinach, mushrooms, and grapes! Available as prints, t-shirts for both kids and adults, as well as tea towels. Don’t forget to check out the newly added greeting cards.

5. AskAmber

7. Kate Fitzpatrick

Known for creating colorful acrylic swirly masterpieces, coda artist Kate Fitzpatrick has expanded her work to include t-shirts and ceramics! You can choose from various colors for TTY and “Green monster” both beloved historical images from the deaf community! There are also KODA” shirts for children and “grandchild of deaf adult” onsies for babies. Don’t forget to check out the intricate detail on her newly released ceramic ornaments!
